The Virtual Navy is one of the largest organizations of its kind in the world for those who wish to engage in twenty-first century virtual military combat. We specialize in using the very latest current era combat sims. Applicants are asked to select either
Armed Assault, Dangerous Waters or
DCS Black Shark as their primary sim. We have 3 different Armed Assault servers for our members to utilize, and 2 other servers that house a variety of games.
Armed Assault:
This is our main sim which enables us to create simultaneous combined operations taking place in the same battlefield area. You will need to select
one of the following options:
Marine Infantry
- where you’ll be trained in using ground attack weapons and tactics as part of our
Ist Battalion/Ist Marines Infantry Battalion
Marine Heavy Armor
– using the Abrams M1 tank as part of our
Ist Tank Battalion
Marine Corps Air Squadron
– using the AV-8B, V-22, AH-1Z, H-60, MH or AH-6
Squadrons.
Navy Air Force –
where you’ll be trained as a Naval aviator to fly the ArmA versions of the F/A-18, F-16 and F-15 fighter/attack planes as part of our
VFA-97, VFA-86 and VFA-82 Squadrons
Navy Seals
– where you’ll be trained in covert recon, sniper and demolition techniques as part of our
Seal Team 3, currently deployed with our other vforces in South Central Asia.
DCS Black Shark:
We are one of the first communities to use this brand new sim as an effective fighting Black Shark helicopter squadron.
Dangerous Waters: As of now we are based solely in the 5th fleet's area of operations utilizing surface, subsurface and naval air assets in a multi-platform environment. We utilize both the RA mod and LWAMI mod to maximize the in-game experience.
